Thick rotors These rotors feel indestructible. Hayes brakes stop my cargo bike like it weighs nothing. Pros: Thick, should last forever. Cons: Heavy, if you worry about that sort of thing. Always true. Every time I buy Hayes rotors they are perfectly true. Pros: Strong.

Doesn't just work for Hayes you know... This was the least expensive 180mm rotor I could find, and it's every bit as good as the more expensive ones. Rotors are rotors in terms of size, so same some money and get these for your 6 bolt hubs. Pros: Great quality, amazing price. No problems, these rotors just work. I've moved on to different brakes but it wasn't because of the rotors. Pros: Solid Cons: They get hot and leave a brand on your calf if you are stupid. Bought this for an E-bike conversion of an old hardtail. Not being used in any extreme situations, but since the E-bike is probably 40 lbs I am glad to have a nice solid rotor up front. Haven't had any issues with noise or anything so far.

simple rotor bent pretty early in its life. Pros: cheap and good with plenty of stopping power Cons: bends pretty easily leaned it against a tree and it rubbed. road down a rocky section and it bent to rubbing all the time. will replace soon. cold just be what I hit but seems a little light? Very good stopping power These are inexpensive and have good grip. They do make some noise from time to time. Big deal. I can live with noise. Sometime I even love it when I am riding behind my buddies and I ride my brakes so I don't run them over. They know they are holding me back! I like the intimidation. Pros: strong, good stopping power, clears mud fine, stays cool. Cons: a bit on the heavy side, makes noise sometimes Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 06, 2011 Reviewed by: 300lbsgorilla, Mid MO Was this review Helpful? Love the Sound These are great rotors. I don't know how, but they make a slight clicking/buzzing sound that I love. Great durability, great performance, and good value for the buck. Pros: This rotor tops all in durability plus the sound is awesome! Perfect fit I got the V7 rotor and Hayes adapter so I could move up from my stock V6 rotor. Along with new organic pads the previous problem with noise on my V6 setup is now gone. I've also noticed that the brakes tend to fade less on the long downhill sections. These were easy to install, just follow the instructions and tighten the bolts to proper torque spec.
My only gripe is that the rotor was slightly bent. Not enough to feel or affect power, but you can definitely hear it when the brake pads are close. Hopefully this will go away with further break in. Pros: Easy to install
Heat dissipation and stopping power improvement over V6 rotor.
Cons: Rotor slightly bent Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 12, 2011 Reviewed by: Benjamin D., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
good rotors for the money I've switched all my rotors from Shimano over to Hayes with my shimano calipers (XTs, Saints and XTRs). No complaints! Great Hayes replacement rotor. Good strength and light. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 05, 2011 Reviewed by: Sam, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Heavy duty rotor I bought the 8 inch for my second set of wheels. I have an old Hope Gothic on the the original set of wheels and the Hayes is quite abit heavier. Might even weigh twice as much. It has alot more material in the webbing than the Hayes 6 inch. The rear disc on my Suzuki DRZ 400 Sm has less material in the webbing. It's built to last. But I've had to "true" it twice. I'm not sure why it's doing this. Stainless has memory so maybe it was bent once before I bought it. Other than the annoying rub at the end of a few rides it works fine. Pros: Heavy duty. Would make a great DH rotor. Cons: Heavy Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 03, 2011 Reviewed by: Mark G., Wisconsin Was this review Helpful? Good blend of value & performance These work much better than stock Avid rotors. They're also a little bit lighter, too. The don't hold up to impacts/rocks, but that's somewhat expected. Pros: Function
