Cables wear out over time. If you need a new single cable and and adjustment, this is the service to choose. Over time, derailleurs need to be adjusted. Cable tension can change and drivetrains can wear. We can adjust a front or rear derailleur for you with this service. Because there are so many variables involved, we may recommend other drive train services, as well.
- New Cable will be installed in addition to the derailleur adjustment (Cable Purchased Separately)
- Cable will be cut to length and a cable end cap will be installed
- We will adjust your front or rear derailleur to manufacturer spec.
- We will tighten the derailleur if necessary
- We will clean the derailleur with a rag and light degreaser
- We will lubricate derailleur pivots with a light lube if necessary
- We will lubricate the cable and housing during the process
- Derailleur bolt threads will be lubricated if possible (Cable anchor bolts)
- All derailleur stops will be checked for accuracy
- Cable tension will be set accurately for perfect shifts
- Chain will be lubricated with your choice of lubricants available
- Bike is test ridden to make sure it is shifting properly
