Our Spot Wheel True Service is used on wheels that don't necessarily need a full, extensive true, but still need work. The wheel gets a basic true at a more economical price.
- Wheel is removed from Bicycle. Tire stays on the wheel during True
- Rim, Spokes, Nipples and Hubs are cleaned with light degreaser
- Light lubrication is used between the nipples and rim for accurate truing
- Wheel is laterally and vertically trued
- Spokes are stressed continually to prevent wind up
So I had my wheels trued at a different shop, no bueno. Took them to Universal, they told me the status of my hubs and corrected the mistake of another shop. Now my wheels spin true and have stayed that way.
