I love this tire. It won't win you races but if you are looking for an all-around tire that will grip in many conditions and inspire you to rip it in the corners, this is well worth a shot. I've ridden them in loose over hard, rocky trails, and a little mud and they haven't felt out of place. I'm rolling with the trail star version and they are holding up well so far. HANS DAMPF ! The northwest is always loamy, muddy, rooty, rocky and steep. My go to tire on a 26" was the Kenda Nevegal 2.3, and my new 29'er never quite felt the same until I put these on. Great traction in all the right conditions. The carcass just oozes quality as well, there is nice feel to the rubber. Cons: Heavier and slower than other choices
