Worth trying
I got these brakes as a cheap way to try out mini-v's. I had low expectations, but they're actually pretty decent for the price. I didn't even try the pads they came with (Pro max), switching to Kool Stops while installing. These brakes were a very tight fit on the anti studs. I actually had to sand off a bit of excess powder coating to get them on in the front. The bolts are very long, so I used the bolts from my old brakes. The brake arms themselves look OK.
I'm using these brakes with Ultegra 6500 levers, and I find the modulation and power to be surprisingly good. I did, however, have to set the pads very close to the rims -- so close that I can barely unhook the noodle without releasing some cable.
I wouldn't pay a lot for the brakes, but they don't cost a lot so I'm satisfied.
