This one wasn't as good as the other one
It rings well, and makes a pleasant dinging, and it's the kind that spins something inside that makes it more interesting than just a single ding. I don't know what it's called, but it's the kind that sounds like the bells in that song by Queen, "Bicycle" - you could youtube the song if you're not as old as I am.
The mounting situation is where this thing disappointed me. It came with a chunk of rubber, that wasn't large enough to even cover the metal parts that attach it to the bars. I had to wrap my bars in Gaffers Tape, so as not to scratch them.
It used two phillips bolts, that seem like they will rust. Said bolts thread into threads cut into the stamped steel portion of the bell - just like something from the eighties, or even older.
It was cheap, but if I could do it over, I would spend a little more and get the SOMA, which had a nicer plastic mounting situation.
I got two versions, and this one gets stuck, and you have to make sure you push at the right angle of attack, otherwise the lever hangs up on something inside, mid-ding. Not reliable. I might run someone over, because my bell failed at the wrong time. I'm worried about the liability.
