Seriously eye catching, low profile helmet
Bern helmets are thinner than most other helmets that I've seen, leaving you with a helmet that is more head-shaped and less bulky feeling. The pads are replaceable via handy snaps (no velcro!) and heavy winter pads are available that cover your ears.
This color in particular is very eye catching. I've heard lots of comments from walkers and a few from drivers with their windows rolled down, which is nice because cars operated by people who know where I am are less likely to hit me! It is comparable with brightness and color to many of the hi-vis yellow covers that are available, but with a much more pleasant shape.
The helmet is not the lightest because of how thick the outer plastic shell is, but that is less important to me. However the overall quality is superb. There's a reason for the price being a little higher than other entry level helmets.
Pros: Fit! It isn't huge like every other skate-style helmet.
Replaceable pads with snaps so I can wash them and re-install without dealing with velcro.
Super high visibility for safety and stuff!
Quality.
