The durability of the plastic bushing (just for the sake of reducing a few grams) is not worth the tradeoff in durability. I've been getting less than 4-5k miles on these hubs mainly because of the bushing wear. 3rd party bushings are available but not from Mavic.
Pros: lighter?
Cons: durability poor (< 5k miles)
