So I finally have a seat post that is carbon, aero shape so I can't use a Thompson post. My new set up is the only carbon to carbon parts. I tried a carbon post years ago and it slipped then I cracked it.
My new set up, I learned my lesson and used this carbon paste, torqued my seat clamp to the right spec and NO Slippage!!! Pros: No slipping seat post Cons: None so far Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 14, 2013 Reviewed by: Stewart C., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Carbon Paste I highly recommend using this or a substitute for any carbon assembly. Nothing is worse that a good twist of the handlebars or steerer tube during a hard corner or out of the saddle effort. It does scuff up the carbon a little, but you can't see it there anyways, and what scuffs up carbon even more, is crashing from things slipping. Pros: Works, required for carbon clamping IMO. Cons: Annoying that it is required, but that's carbon. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 02, 2013 Reviewed by: Nathan G., California Was this review Helpful?
