It will crack if you over tighten it

But it's $5 and made of plastic, so if you over-tighten it, that's kinda on you. You also need to be careful that your BB tool is seated properly as it will slip off easily and wear down the plastic around the contact points.

Pros: Cheap, more give than metal

Cons: Not as durable as metal

Contrary to what you might think, the plastic cup is actually better at supporting the bottom bracket cartridge unit than the alloy cup, because the plastic allows for some compression past the point of contact. It also makes it easier to install on older bikes where the BB threads might not be pristine.

Be gentle while installing, and back it off if the bearing gets too stiff: this cup also serves as the bearing adjustment, and will stay put even if it's not fully flush with the BB shell. It will crack if over-torqued during installation, but this is why replacements are $5. It is also marginally reusable, use your best judgement.
