Solved a lot of problems.
I basically provide and maintain my sister's bikes for her daily commutes to work in NYC. This hub solves two problems; the lack of reliable lighting and braking issues. She doesn't do maintenance nor safety and can't trouble shoot (example - the bike is too slow, reason rim brake pad are out of whack.) And she will not change a battery.
So this hub.
It is a cool looking hub. My only regret has nothing to do with the hub itself but the lack of a fork mount attachment tab. The hub comes with a mounting bracket however but I'm a bit OCD about things like that. If I had the means I'd brazed on my on mount tab and dispense with the bracket. The supplied mounting bracket is ugly as sin.
Pros: Looks cools.
Bullet proof brakes.
Dynamo lighting = no battery.
Cons: Heavy! (But I don't care.)
No axle locks on the market that I can find.
Need to use the provided fork attachment.
