I bought the CK bottom bracket based on a couple of things. First, the longevity of other CK products I have used - specifically headsets, and hubs. The headsets have been zero maintenance. The hub bearings have lasted years with maintenance every 6 months. Second, I like the fact that the bearings on this BB can be regreased easily with the BB tool. I am using the BB with a SRAM XX1 crankset, and there was a little bit of friction at first, but after a few miles, it's much smoother. I expect this BB will last at least 10 years.

Pros: CK quality; and ease of maintenance.

Cons: Expensive, but the BB will last for years, so actually not that bad.

Awesome bottom bracket. Spins smoothly with little drag. Very easy to maintain so even though its expensive you know it will last. Looks great on the bike.

Pros: Durability, performance

Cons: Price but its coming from a company i'm proud to support

Creates a platform for a smooth spinning spindle with much less friction It is very light weight and easy to install. It comes with a variety of spacers and washers to accomodate most cranksets. It is a high quality BB, but way overpriced. For those not familiar with installing a BB, it would be helpful if they provided better identifying markers on the BB cups and centerpiece to indicate more clearly which is the drive side.

Wanted to try and splash out on some Ceramic bearings. Also wanted the quality of Chris King. Super smooth and Ano colors are sweet as.

Pros: Well made, smooth as. Many color to choose.

Cons: Seals could be better

I wanted to return to ceramic bearings.
I wanted great sealing to keep the sand out.
While I was disappointed w/ the kings seals the bearings feel great, the mate to the sram crank mates well. And the winning edge is the flush out with the injector. Goes on fine w/ shimano bb tool

the injector flush

Cons: still not the seal I was hoping for
