Put the Patterson on my 20" folder with a Sturmey Archer rear hub. The Patterson does everything they claim. Used a $10.00 Sram friction front twist shifter. Basically close is exactly close enough for the shifter. It was easy to follow the instructions for installation.

Pros: Enclosed gears. Never misses the shift up or down, moving or stopped, coasting or pedaling.

Cons: None found so far.

An Effortless Ride for the Casual Biker

I rode this transmission in Deland Florida on a Sunday morning and it blew me away...

reminded me of when I was a kid and I had my Bendix two-speed rear hub... only better.

Used with a gripshift, you can upshift or downshift while pedaling...no sweat, even in Florida on a sunny summer morning!

I highly recommend it! It will update any classic bike or streamline your racer

Pros: Easy

Cons: Too simple if you're obsessive
