Wheelsmith Stainless Spoke Ruler
Unfortunately this ruler didn't live up to expectation. Yes it's stainless and etched and paint filled, but it's also very thin and flexible. This means it won't work as intended, since the whole idea of an accurate spoke measurement depends on holding the spoke properly above the ruler (in a triangle shape) with only the threaded end against the ruler scale. This ruler is too flexy to even allow that to happen. The notches in the ruler's end are also total nonsense, since they align with the start of the scale... where ANY other good ruler would anyway. The notches are sharp, inconvenient, and pointless. The ruler also arrived with super sticky store labels on it, and took a while to clean (careless on Universal's part). I love the Wheelsmith rim rods, but I hate their ruler and won't be using it. Having a dedicated spoke ruler will NOT give you better measurements.
Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Everything else. Unable to recommend.
