Velo Orange Alloy Threaded Headsets - Caged Bearings

Nice retro headset that worked out really well on an old steel rebuild. Clean lines, reasonably well made, and for this price, a good option for someone interested in getting the right look without spending to much money.

Velo Orange Alloy Threaded Headsets - Caged Bearings

* Review refers to "French" sized Velo Orange Alloy Threaded Headset

For rescuing an otherwise serviceable bicycle of French extraction (Motobecane, etc.) in need of a new headset, this is a great (perhaps the easiest) option.

Pros: -French sizing
-Inexpensive
-High enough quality
-Decent seals

Cons: -Makes the superb Stronglight headset (even with its brinelled bearing surfaces) you take out seem like a set of 1970s Campy jewelry.

Decent inexpensive headset. It looks great and rides smooth. Doesn't compare to sealed bearings, but good for the price.
