This kit came with all the parts you need to replace or shorten a hydraulic line. Kit comes with clear instructions on how to replace parts and bleed the brakes afterwards. I prefer using the shimano lives over aftermarket brands because there is no issue with parts not fitting properly. Works every time.

Pros: All you need to replace or repair your line, cost is pretty low

Cons: none

I've used these hoses for years, and they stand up to lots of use. I prefer the pre-fab stainless braided hoses that Shimano no longer sells, but it's hard to argue with the customizable length. The valves are a perfect fit on Shimano hardware.

Pros: Cut-to-length is very handy
Install is straightforward.

Cons: I've had self-installed ends fail under heavy braking. This may be user error, but be advised.

Does the job

These hoses get the job done, but I am no longer running these. I've since switched to the Goodridge stainless steel hydraulic lines and will never go pack.

Pros: they work

Cons: not as good as Goodridge lines

Shimano hydraulic hose kit

these hose kits are great as replacement hoses. They are easy to install and are durable for their price. They cost only a fraction of other hose kits out there and are fairly durable. Same hoses as the Shimano OEM kits that come on all Shimano Hydraulic discs

Pros: inexpensive, durable, easy to assemble/install

Cons: none
