Another great Park tool Overall I've been very impressed with Park's bike specific tools. This one is no exception.
The hex wrench end fits the BBT-* nut to make tightening easier too. Pros: Makes cassette removal a snap with the accompanying cassette wrench. Cons: Park tools aren't cheap but the bike specific ones are well made. I wouldn't rush out and buy their standard screwdrivers or wrenches, HomeDepot has those. Does what it needs to do. Never had any other put works great for me. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 09, 2013 Reviewed by: James P., Tennessee Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Not that impressed. Doesn't seem to grab the cassette that great. There has to be a better design out there somewhere, or maybe I'm not using it right. Seems like whenever I'm really wrenching on it the chain comes off the cassette causing something to go flying. Pros: Works, kinda Cons: Has to be a better design for this. a valuable tool to have. I had gotten it for both the extra tork for when I use other free wheel tools and with my other chain whip. they should sell both chain whips together so you dont get stuck when your working on other bikes. This works great like just about all Park stuff. I now no longer have to battle with a 3/32" chain whip to remove my 1/8" BMX cogs. Reviewed on: August 05, 2012 Reviewed by: Patrick, Oz Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Great product. Great product by a reliable company. Grips the cog well with no slip. fits a 1/8 cog. Pros: fits 1/8 cog Cons: none so far Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 28, 2012 Reviewed by: Joseph R., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I know there are ways to get around using a chain whip on a Fixed Gear wheel, but this tool makes life so much easier because the cogs really tighten up due to the torque from riding & this tool allows you to place a lot of leverage down onto the cog with out the need to use an old chain in a vice to take it off. Solid construction makes for the usual Park durability, the rubber handle gives you great grip & the ability to place a lot of force down comfortably. To the best of my knowledge Park is the only company that is putting out a 1/8th chain whip. Also if you do damage the chain you can replace a section very easily by removing the bolts & adding a new section. Pros: Park Quality
So Handy for fixed cogs
Comfortable
Serviceable Cons: Nil Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 19, 2011 Reviewed by: R. T., Manitoba Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
