Simple and effective.

By itself, this tool can remove a set of BB30 bearings. With the tool in one hand, hammer in the other, you almost need a third hand to hold the bike. But the guide (blue plastic piece) works well and it does not take much force to knock out a set of properly greased bearings.

With a Park HHP-2, the cups can be used to press in a set of bearings. I found out the hard way that an HHP-1 doesn't work since the rod is too big. Even on the HHP-2, you have to put the bearing press cups onto the threaded portion of the press.

Pros: easy to use

Cons: one use tool

Used this to tap out bearings on my Niner Air Carbon. Like most Park Tools products, this tool works flawlessly. Was able to tap out both of my BB30 bearings with very little effort. I was actually a little apprensive about tapping out bearings, but it really was very easy. Also, comes with adaptors for your headset press so you can easily press the bearings back in. If you have BB30 cranks, this tool is a must.

Pros: Easy to use, affordable

Cons: None
