These are some NICE pedals Pros: Blingtastic, light Cons: $$ Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: December 06, 2012 Reviewed by: Rodger B., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
One of the lighter platform pedals. Very simple look to them. Nice traction. The pedal body isn't too close to the crank arm which can bug me. Spins smooth! Pros: Weight and looks. Awesome pedal. I use it on my AM rig and they work great. Awesome traction and light but very durable. Pins stay in place and take a beating. Lots of hard hits on rocks and still spin smooth/ function great. Pros: Quality

With a pair of five10s this pedals are sticky, really sticky. I wish you could adjust the tension. I bought the replacement pins but I still have to loose one. Overall they are very light. Excellent flat pedals!!! Been using these pedals for the last 6 months for everything from xc to dh. These pedals have held up great! They offer good grip and feel good under my five tens. Also these pedals are light weight and low profile. I wish universal carried the other colors that blackspire offered. Pros: light, low profile, good grip and perfect size platform. Cons: none so far. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 12, 2012 Reviewed by: Ed C., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Blackspire Sub 4 Made in Canada. What more can I say? Ok lots. Plenty other companies making pedals for the "under one pound per pair" catagory are barely squeaking by in their claims. Not only are these babies well under 400 grams, but they're make by our hairy neighbors to the north and come in every color of the rainbow. They even offer two different hues of green! Pros: Made locally (North America), light, beautiful, work well, affordable Cons: Too affordable...everyone else will eventually have a pair too. Outstanding Design! I just bought a pair of these for my Surly Pugsley, and I couldn't be happier. In all weather including the snow, these babies just grip. The addition of the lightweight design, and solid feel, makes this an outstanding value for the money. Pros: Excellent grip
