Grips Wanted a light weight grip. Was trying to save weight for a trail bike Pros: Cool new look. Cons: Foam grips are not for me. I hated these. The retention rings stripped out on my early on and had to toss these. Crank brothers sometimes should stick with what they know. ODI grips are far superior. I did not find them that comfortable, a little small for my big hands. Also it was easy to strip the thread by over torqueing. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: March 01, 2013 Reviewed by: Hamish M., New York Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Best lightweight lockon foam grip out there This is the Best lightweight lockon foam grip out there.
I have gone through 3 on one of my DH bikes in two years. but damn do they feel great!
They take a beating but if you crash just right and enough times, you will rip chuncks out of the foam Pros: colors
light
comfy
stays on Cons: will rip chuncks of foam out on crashes Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 27, 2012 Reviewed by: Joaquin E C., New Jersey Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
The foam is comfy on longer rides. They lock on tight and don't move and the blue anodized looks great!

I dont like them
They really seem like they wont hold up and the shape of the clamps is awkward on the trail
I put them on a bike I was selling to get rid of htem Pros: light
cool looking Cons: cheap feeling foam Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: August 15, 2012 Reviewed by: aaron s., Illinois Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Ow These are really great if you like having something dig into the side of your hand while you're riding. The foam is a little too thin and squishy, which leaves you with a big sharp metal edge rubbing against your hand. I'm going back to good ol' Ourys. Plus -- come on! You need some ridiculously small Torx driver to install these, which I had to go buy at a hardware store. sweet grips really lightweight and comes in many colors to match your bike. i got these for my xc rig to keep it light. simple foam and plug style end caps, traditional crankbrothers quality. Pros: light Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 22, 2012 Reviewed by: Tory S., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
These grips have the benefits of foam (lighter weight) without the drawbacks (pain to install and remove). Yes, they're a little heavier than foam grips alone, but you can take them off easily and change positions. They also have the locking rings with color accents to match your bike. Recommended! Pros: Pretty light, easy on & off. Cons: A little heavier than straight-up foam, but worth the weight penalty for ease of use. Lightweight and comfortable These are the lightest lock on grips I've used. They are also pretty comfortable. They are a bit smaller than the ODI grips I normally use but I got used to them after about 10 minutes of use. Pros: Light, Affordably priced, Comfortable Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 04, 2011 Reviewed by: Dwayne C., Texas Was this review Helpful? Nice light foam grip! Bought a set of these to try out in order to save a little weight. I usually run ODI Rouges, and wanted to try something different and lighter. So far they have been great. Mounting was easy, they even include a bit for the torx screw. Mounting is nice and snug. We'll see how they hold up after a few rides. Pros: Light, good grip Cons: Would like to see a closed end model. Not a fan of end plugs. Awesome This grips are very comfy for foam grips. Very light weight. The clamping bolt seems a little cheap. I hope they hold up over time. Pros: comfortable and light weight Cons: clamping bolt seems a bit cheap/flimsy Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 29, 2011 Reviewed by: Fred M., Portland Was this review Helpful? lightweight and actually very comfortable. I just prefer grips without the outer rings nowdays. The foam grips feels good and comforms to my hands nicely. Be careful tightening the torx bolts are they strip easily. I also needed to use some Tacx carbon assembly paste to keep this from slipping and rotating Pros: very comfortable for a dual lockring type grips
lightweight
High Bling factor
Cheap Cons: Torx bolts easy to strip
Needed carbon assembly paste to keep from rotating Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 24, 2011 Reviewed by: Reyhan F., Arizona Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Perfect XC Grips A few bikes back, I tried lock on grips. They were ODI's, and I haven't tried anything since. I'm a tinkerer, and a builder. I end up building, upgrading, swapping brakes, etc. over and over again on all mine and my girlfriends bikes. This leads to never wanting to use friction (non-lockon) grips again. Only issue, too heavy for a real XC racer. No big deal for me, but always sort-of bothersome to spend big cash on a light handlebar, then make up all the weight with the grips. These solve those problems and more. I love the soft foam padding, although not as durable, really cushy. the lock on works well, and is much light than the ODI system. Pros: Weight, Lock-on, cush. Cons: Durability, although they sell replacement foam. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 09, 2011 Reviewed by: Nathan G., California Was this review Helpful?
