Have a 105 5700 group on my regular "training" road bike. Never had any problems, smooth shifting and no signs major signs of wear after one year of weekly training rides of 25 to 50 miles. Pros: Durable, reliable Shimano quality. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 30, 2012 Reviewed by: Daniel G., California Was this review Helpful? Shimano Quality. Good price. You know what it is. If you want quality but not the price of Ultegra or DuraAce, this is what you get. Crisp shifting and quality build. Pros: Great fit. Works well with Wipperman and Shimano chains. Cons: Maybe lighter? It is 105 after all.. Cheaper than Ultegra with minimal weight penalty I'm on a budget, and ride about 10,000-12,000 miles per year, so I appreciate affordable, reliable, and QUIET drive train parts. The 105 cassette is a little cheaper than the Ultegra version, and lasts at least as long. In fact, the only difference is the spacer color (black, vs. silver). I use these with SRAM Red/Force crankset and derailleurs, and a Shimano Dura Ace 7800 chain. Smooth and quiet. Pros: Economical
Reliable
Quiet Cons: None, unless you enjoy spending more money to shave a few grams. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 31, 2012 Reviewed by: Paul M., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
The 27 is magic Troubles with that nasty climb....the 28 is sure to help Pros: fits perfect Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 10, 2012 Reviewed by: Todd S., Vancouver, WA Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
A good somewhat economical choice. No complaints. Not sure why I'd ever spend more for a cassette. I've run this on multiple bikes and the lifespan is similar to others. Pros: No issues. Good wear life. Cons: None really so far. Would like to pay less but it's in the range of the others. Reviewed on: November 05, 2011 Reviewed by: Sean V., Washington Was this review Helpful? Smooth Shifter Typical great Shimano shifting at decent weight and price. One of those parts that you install and forget about. Pros: Smooth shifting at a decent price Cons: Not much except maybe a little heavier than more expensive models, but probably more durable as well!
