Crank Brothers Candy 2 Pedals I like these much better than the egg beaters. The little added platform gives a little extra piece of mind when really cranking on these. Metal instead of the plastic, excellent fit and finish. Easier in and out than my past Shimano counterparts. Pros: Metal, not plastic. Easier in and out. Small platform Cons: NONE Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 15, 2012 Reviewed by: Tony B., Florida Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I like Crank Brothers pedals. I have them on all my bikes. Easy in and out, secure and easy to maintain. I just hope I can grease these as easily as the last Candy's I bought. Pros: Light, price, secure when clipped in, easy in and out. Cons: None. These pedals perform up to the standard set by Shimano clipless pedals I've had in the past, but handle mud a bit better. These were the first Crank Brothers pedals with the 5 year warranty, you are not supposed to have to rebuild these pedals like you did past Crank Brothers models. I've found that these pedals did start to show a bit of wear after about 6 months of riding, the pedals don't turn as smoothly on the spindle as when new, enough that I was concerned they were just falling apart when I first noticed. However, it has been almost a year since then and the condition hasn't worsened, they just don't rotate as smoothly as they should. After a year and a half the cleats are wearing out and, unlike Shimano clipless, when the cleats wear out you start to click out of the pedal easier. Pros: Sheds mud well Cons: Rotation feels rough after break-in Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 15, 2012 Reviewed by: Dave S., California Was this review Helpful? Beautiful I'm upgrading from a pair of older Candy's - which are still going strong after a rebuild. I'm not sure if the metal body will hold up as well as the plastic ones, but these are so beautiful I'm willing to give it a shot.
So far so good.
The new cleats are much nicer than the old ones, and included. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 20, 2012 Reviewed by: Joshua T., Virginia Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
CB Candy Metal surrounding better than older plastic. Will pack in mud easier than eggbeater, but housing protect from damage to "beater cage" Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: July 10, 2011 Reviewed by: Mike, California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
great pedal. Pros: Light at only 300g; cheap; easy to clip in and out of; take a good beating. Cons: None. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 27, 2011 Reviewed by: mark g., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I like them so far. They are a nice in between from the mallets to the egg beaters. Much tougher than the plastic candys. They feel good on size 13 shoes. I like a little more platforms than he beaters offer. Pros: Strength

Candy 2 new style Really good pedals, light and high quality, The metal frame are ok, but the composite seemed way more forgiving when bouncing them against rocks and trees Pros: Super high quality Cons: metal framed vs. composite on the old style Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 08, 2010 Reviewed by: Chris E., Arizona Was this review Helpful?
