Ideal for 'bike-on-a-budget' applications. Built this into a fixie, and it worked fine. We don't use this bike to race, sprint or jump curbs, but for general riding it should be fine. You get what you pay for with this one. Pros: Price. Simplicity. Cons: Not the lightest or best steel fork out there. Fits the bill Needed a cheap fork to go with a used frame. If I cared about looks I probably wouldn't get this fork, but I probably wouldn't be riding a 10 year old frame, either! It's black and blends in. Provides a comfortable ride. Would be nice if it had just a touch more clearance for tires. I *might* be able to squeeze 28s in there. Maybe. Pros: Price, comfort, attracted to magnets Cons: Bland appearance, weighs more than carbon Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 22, 2011 Reviewed by: Joseph, Washington Was this review Helpful? Great Price & Solid I wanted to replace my3-year-old carbon fiber fork and kept waiting for a good steel fork to go on sale. The cheapest steel road fork I found was a Surly (around 100 bucks and 70 on sale), but then this one caught my eye. Dimension is one of Quality Bicycle Products' brands, which is why I trusted the quality. The price is unbeatable, and the shipping charge from Universal Cycles is awesome. I had the fork installed yesterday and did a 90 minute ride this morning with no problems. The fork is simple with no brand name printed on it. It's very narrow compared to oversized carbon forks and looks sharp. This did not come out of some 2nd rate factory. Pros: Quality and cost Cons: You have to figure out what to do with all of the money you save. Simple steel fork This fork is very simple, it has rack/fender bosses on the drop outs. It is nicely welded. I stripped mine immediately, it took paint very nicely. Pros: Simple threadless fork. inexpensive. Cons: Doesn't look too fancy.
