I have been very happy with this skewer. Using it on Paragon dropouts. Easy to use for the extra beef. Simple tension adjustment on the flip lever Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 30, 2012 Reviewed by: Pat, Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Maxles are easier Great product, Rockshox is brilliant, way easier to remove the wheel than with a standard thru axle Reviewed on: November 15, 2011 Reviewed by: Ryan O., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
More than likely, your frame either takes this axle, or it doesn't. If you have the option to change the dropouts, this thing is the way to go. Stiff, easy to use, strong. Pros: A great upgrade if your frame offers the option. Cons: A bit expensive, especially if you have stock QR dropouts and hub. Lighter than the standard Maxle by 40g or so. On the g saved to $ ratio that means it is a good value compared to a carbon crank or someother way of dropping weight from your all mountain rig.
