Nice hub with skewer, dishing not quite perfect, but that can be corrected when the spokes get re-tensioned after a few rides. Strong, affordable package. Good hub and great rim. Have had the spokes tensioned several times, bought the rear as well and it's even worse with the extra weight back there. Even with this happening the rims hold up good, I guess I just gotta keep an eye on them. I wish I would've had universal cycles build me my wheelset instead of going the cheaper route with these. Pros: Good components. Cons: Poor build. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: November 02, 2012 Reviewed by: David H. Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I bought this wheel because it was cheaper to buy the built wheel than to buy all the parts. I didn't know what to expect with the Sram hub, but I haven't had any issues in 6 months of heavy use. Pros: Stan's Flow Rim
DT spokes
Good build - wheel has held up well. Cons: Doesn't come with rim tape or valve. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 06, 2011 Reviewed by: Scott K., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Sram X-9/Stans Flo Front Wheel' I just received the Sram X9 /Stans(no tubes} front wheel, the only complant is it is not tubeless ready,I thought I would be able put a tire on and go,when I saw the no tubes stiker i just assumed it would be that way, sure you can buy the necsasary items to make it so,if i had known that at time of purchase i would have bought a Mavic front wheel and be done with it.
I will give it a good work out in the spring and and do a follow up review. Reviewed on: December 16, 2010 Reviewed by: Greg V., Colorado Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Flows speak for themselves, nothing to complain about there.
X9 hubs are new to the scene, not lightweight, but cartridge bearings and steel axle mean they should hold up a bit better than shimano equivalents (which I had poor experience with and thus went with these), although not a lifetime hub like hope, king, etc...
With 100ish miles of roots and rocks on them there havent been any issues. Pros: Strong, serviceable, lightish for the width, price Cons: weight, x9 reputation isnt proven Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 14, 2010 Reviewed by: Forty, Oregon Was this review Helpful? SRAM X-9 w/Flow ok here's the deal, the rims are bomb proof, super easy to set up tubless and stay true for sure. The hubs are ok...meaning they are similar to XT hubs and they are not bad. But, there are definately better one's out there i.e. Hope pro 2's, King, etc. For the money though they are good. Pros: Cost, and hoops are bomb proof Cons: Hubs are just ok, not bad for the money but I am not sure how long they will hold up.
