Without question, bicycle drive trains take the bulk of wear. Keeping drive trains clean, well lubricated and well adjusted will allow them to last 3-4 times longer. This service addresses the drive train only. Every action taken is focused on cleaning, lubricating and adjusting the drivetrain for maximum performance.
- Upon Check in, the bike gets a 10 point check to establish areas of concern
- Frame is inspected for cracks or damage
- Crank arms are removed and cleaned in a parts washer
- Chainrings bolts are greased and torqued to spec
- Bottom Bracket is adjusted and tightened to proper torque (Chris King Bottom Brackets will get flushed with grease)
- Chain is removed, cleaned in parts washer, and re-installed
- Chain is lubricated with customer's choice of several lubricants
- Cassette or freewheel cogs are cleaned with a cog brush or floss
- Front and rear derailleurs are adjusted (Stops, cable tension, etc)
- Lubricate all pivots on derailleurs
