POC Spine VPD Tee Chest Protector

- A short sleeve jacket with shoulder-cups, breast plates and a back protector. One of few certified at Level 2 (“High performance”) of the motor cycle standard EN 1621-2. The new back-protector-concept is made of the new Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough (VPD) that gives a high level of protection as well as a unique capability to adapt its shape to your body. The ambition has been to support mobility and comfort, incorporating the highest possible level of spinal and torso protection.

- Six-inch, heavy-duty, removable spandex waist belt to keep the Spine Tee snug
- Lightweight design for excellent mobility and range of motion
- Foam webbing provides additional spine protection and superior breathability
- Ventilated, cushioned polypropylene hard shells to protect chest, shoulders, and upper arms
- Four adjustable straps to keep the shoulder, arm, and chest hard shells perfectly in place
- Breathable reinforced spandex mesh fabric for strength and breathability
- Velcro attachments to snap-fit the POC Cervical and POC Coccyx protectors (sold separately) for additional protection ofthe neck and tailbone

After trying on many other chest protectors I settled on this one for a number of reasons. First, it was as light as most the other protectors. Second, it fits just right for a person with an average build (me). Third, the spine protector pad is removable, and it is the most comfortable pad on the market right now. Fourth, the amount of protection is as good if not better than all the other mtb chest protectors that I have seen. I have only used this a handful of times but find that it vents well and fits great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have elbow guards and is expensive. POC spine/chest protector is super comfortable, by far the most comfortable I have worn. Protection is great, and fit is perfect. The spine protector molds to your back as it warms up and you honestly can't tell its there. Pros: Fit, materials and comfort.
