GU Energy Chomps

Tasty Blueberry & Pomegranite Treats

Slick packaging, easy to open just enough to dispense one chomp at a time. They don't melt in the heat. I'm no nutritian expert but I know a good bonk when I get one. I don't use them every ride but on the odd occasion when I have broken them out, I was glad I brought them.

Pros: Tasty & easy to dispense
Will get you out of trouble
Good chew

Cons: Very sweet

I like

These are good and comparable to shot blocks.
I prefer the cranberry flavored.

Pros: good flavor

Cons: more expensive than shot blocks

A good nutrition alternative

Taste good, although a bit on the sour side. I have had trouble opening the bags while pedaling in the past, but I see they have added a notch to the side which should help. Good source of energy.

Pros: A good compliment to gels and bannanas in my cycling jersey.

Cons: A bit tart, which can result in taste-fatigue.

Nummy

These things are about perfect - taste great, not too slimy or too chewy when you are exhausted with dry mouth.. easy to stuff in a pocket. Come in handy on long weekend rides when you get lost & water just isn't going to cut it anymore. Boy I tell you what, them orange flavored ones is goooood eatin.

Pros: Give a nice boost with no nasty aftertaste, don't get sweaty in the bag if crammed in a pocket on a hot ride, cheap, light, what else you lookin fer boi?

Cons: None, grab some

These are very tasty energy chews. I've since switched to Hammer and feel like the performance value is better with Hammer but these definitely taste great.
