Shimano Ultegra BR-6700 Brake Caliper

Having owned 6600-G, the 6700 brakes are a nice upgrade when controlled with 6700 STIs. They offer excellent braking power while still providing nice modulation. The R55C3 pads offer significantly improved wet braking over the C2 pads while maintaining similar dry braking. They do, however, build up heat faster so keep this in mind on long descents as they will fade and squeal on long descents at high speed. That being said, these are excellent calipers and represent an excellent value with braking power similar to the 7900 calipers at a fraction of the cost with only marginal increases in weight.
