This is a pretty good saddle for the price.
I like the look of brown/tan saddles (like Brooks) but I also like leaving my bike out in the rain and not having to do maintenance on the saddle, so I was looking for something with that color but a synthetic cover. The brown Charge Spoon does that for me. It also matches the dark brown Salsa bar tape almost perfectly.
The saddle has a little bit of tackier feel under my shorts than I'd like -- as if I'm sticking to the saddle. I thought that would go away after a few rides, but so far it hasn't. It's not terrible though and I prefer this over sliding around too much. 1 season on the hardtail, no complaints

Just what the doctor ordered What can you say that hasn't already been said? It's cheap, light, easy on the gluteus and available in a variety of colors. This saddle is loved by many and for good reason. The only gripe would be the stitching on the edges. I'm going to go over mine with glued fabric? Maybe then it won't grab on my shorts so much. Pros: Cheap, color selection, light, comfortable Cons: Weight(not a weight weenie saddle), stitching Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 20, 2013 Reviewed by: Mark S., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Decent Saddle especially for the money. Obviously saddles are very personal. This one is a nice shape not a lot of padding but I've found it comfortable for rides up to 40 miles or so. Pros: Price, shape, Cons: Cover is a little too grippy. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 26, 2013 Reviewed by: Dan, Minnesota Was this review Helpful? I replaced every saddle I have on 3 bikes with this saddle. For the price vs. value you will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable commuting and long-distance saddle.
It's easy to clean as well; rain swipes off easily without leaving the saddle feeling squishy. Pros: Durable.
Comfortable.
Looks good. Cons: Not enough color options. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 14, 2012 Reviewed by: Ronald S., Texas Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Not for me. When I received this seat I was really impressed with the quality, weight and looks. Went for a ride and man it was bad! My sack went numb, never had that happen before so I returned it with no hesitation. Its too bad that happened because for the price it's pretty hard to be beaten. Pros: Looks, weight and quality. Cons: If it works for you... Lucky you! Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 02, 2012 Reviewed by: David H. Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Comfy a durable seat....I haven't had the same issue as others with the suede like cover sticking to your shorts Pros: cheap to try out and looks good Cons: stitching looks and feels good....not sure if that will last with this seat...cheap enough to buy another Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 29, 2012 Reviewed by: Todd S., Vancouver, WA Was this review Helpful? Not a long-distance saddle I've ridden this saddle over 300 miles. It's durable, drys quickly and looks nice. The only problem I've ever had with it was some serious numbness after an hour of riding, smooth roads, too. The saddle works great with riser bars. It just won't be the most comfortable cactus if you're using drop bars or aero bars. Pros: durable, drys quickly, good aesthetics, spoon shape helps with power output Cons: bad for rides over 45 minutes non-stop in aero position Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Joseph H., Georgia Was this review Helpful? Great Saddle for the Money... The synthetic leather with chromoly rails version is a very nice saddle for the price. Only negative is the "suede-like" finish looks nice but does not allow you to slide easily and really grabs your shorts. Pros: Color choices.
Price.
Cons: Suede finish. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 09, 2012 Reviewed by: Greg C., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Will Save Your Love Life I needed a new mtb saddle since mine had several rips and was starting to lose its insides. The Charge Spoon was a fantastic deal and had good reviews. I was pleased when I picked it up- nice aesthetic and it is fairly light. It isn't as comfortable as the saddle it replaced, but it doesn't crush your perineum. Pros: Cost, looks, I'm not sterile. Cons: None yet. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 15, 2012 Reviewed by: Paul S., PDX Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Overall a nice saddle. When you consider the price it is an even better deal. Good shape and nice padding.
Cons: The saddle material (artificial leather) is very sticky. When you sit on it it grabs your shorts. Maybe this will go away after some use? I bought brown. Maybe the other colors don't have this problem. Would Buy Again: No Reviewed on: February 14, 2012 Reviewed by: David, California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
A saddle even your mother could love What's not to like about a well made, cheap seat? If the shape works for you, then even better! I like the Transition AM seat also, but the Charge Spoon is a much better deal. Pros: Well made

Charge Saddle Bought the steel railed one with the synethic material for all weather use. Works great. Fits me well. Still use bike shorts on longer rides but it fits me well Pros: Fits well, weather resistant, low maintenance. These saddles are awesome. Obviously the fit is personal, but the quality is top notch and obviously you can't beat the price. I've got 4 of them, one on each bike. As others have said, it's quite a grippy saddle. This annoys me more when I wear baggy shorts, because they move quite a bit before slipping. Spandex is OK. But, the shape is good, it looks nice, it's cheap and comfortable. Pros: Comfy, good shape, cheap, and lightish. Comes in colors. Cons: Possibly too grippy. for the price this is a great saddle. its comfortable and great quality. i went for the synthetic light brown and it's very cool looking as well
the texture is a bit grippy though (at least the light brown one is), so if you like to slide in and out of the saddle a lot it can take some getting used to. Pros: cheap!
comfy!

This seat is probably the cheapest/best seat i have ridden. At $23 dollars, you really should give it a try. Its great for people who don't like the more flat topped saddles and prefer a bit of a "spoon" shape. Pros: price, weight, aesthetics Cons: I feel guilty for paying so little. Comfy saddle at a great price This saddle is a bargain if you ask me. I bought my first for use on my single-speed, then a second for my Casseroll.
I was originally drawn in by the color choices, and thought I'd give it a shot. But I've been very happy with it. Just purchased the women's version for my girlfriend's bike as well.
Plus, the brown looks great with chrome! Pros: Price

Most comfortable saddle I have used in a long time. I have recently went from a WTB Pure V to a Specialized Phenom to a Transition AM to the Charge Spoon. The price makes it that much better. Pros: Price, Comfort, did I mention Price Cons: None that i have found yet. The width is comfortable for me, though that naturally varies from person to person, and the fairly long length helps for getting your weight on the front for really steep climbs. Padding is on the thinner side but more than enough to be comfortable. The synthetic leather cover on mine is well stitched and appears quite durable based on the limited number of rides (and one crash) so far. The really low price of the cromo rail version makes it worth a good try Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 30, 2011 Reviewed by: Nate, California Was this review Helpful? Saddles are obviously very subjective. Though, with a cost in the mid-twenties for the chromo rail version, you may be obligated to give it a shot. If you don't like it, squirrel it away for an in-town beater bike. If you do like it, spring for the Ti rail version (which is still a pretty good deal).

Not too comfy It didn't take long to find this was not the saddle for me. I read plenty of online reviews singing its praises but should've remembered to take them all with a grain of salt. You can't take anybody elses word on saddle comfort. Fortunately the price wasn't a bank breaker and it would be fine for somebody. A handsome clean aesthetic, at least.
