Halo Spin Doctor Pro Disc Rear Hub
- 3 pawl, 30 point pick-up system for super fast drive response
- Four sealed cartridge bearings with a forged, CNC machined 6061 aluminum shell, 8/9sp HG compatible
- International Standard 6-bolt disc rotor mount
- 3 models: XC - alloy freehub and quick release, MTB - CrMo freehub and quick release, DH - CrMo freehub and 10mm bolt-on axle
- All Spin Doctor Pro axles and freehubs are interchangeable (but are not cross compatible with the original Spin Doctor hubs)
- 14mm axle adapters are available separately to fit 10mm bolt-on axle models

If you like hiking instead of biking buy this hub I just got back from a hike that should have been biking. After less than 100 miles the pawl spring broke. Don't buy this piece of junk. I won't even keep it as a spare. Pros: None Cons: This hub is a POS. The pawl spring broke after less than 100 miles. I had to hike back home. This was the second Spin Doctor Hub I've bought. The pawls shattered after a few rides. Halo UK said they'd help but . . . still waiting ?
Mark at Universal got on the case and the USA distributor (BTI) got me some replacements, but my bike was down for 6 weeks.
I guess this was a one-off failure, but still frustrating++.
BTW, My first Spin Doctor Rear Hub is fine after 000's miles. Pros: Reasonable price. Looks cool.
BTW ...pack the pawls with bearing grease and free-wheeling is silent !. Cons: Need to ensure the manufacturer/distributor can back up the product at the retail level.

Bought this hub because it I didnt want to spend the extra money on a hub like the Hope Pro II or Hadley, and I'm glad I did. 30 points of engagement is much quicker than most Shimano and many more expensive hubs. Cartridge bearings are very smooth and look like they will stand the test of time. Pros: Colors. Quick engagement. Price. Buttery smooth. Sealed bearings.
