Finally was able to start wearing these shoes after finding a pedal that I like. These shoes are crazy comfortable. I did size up to a 42 from my normal 41, but the standard width is a perfect fit for me.

I love the adjustability with the ratchet closure and the velcro straps. They remind me of my Specialized MTB shoes that have been my favorites until now. I do agree that the inserts kind of suck and will probably replace them soon.

Pros: Comfortable, nearly all of the parts are replaceable

Cons: inserts could be better

Decent shoe, but lacking in fit

These replaced my old Specializeds that just wore out. I liked the fact they have replacement parts. The shoe is nice and stiff, but my physical therapist ended up putting shims on the cleat to get the right offset - basically to mimic the Specialized. The insert was crap - had to replace with something more substantial. Also, I got the wide kind, but it looks like they used the same sole as the regular ones and just put more material in the uppers - so I would say this really isn't a "wide" shoe.

Quality and style is very nice, but I think it lacks some ergonomics that others have and doesn't fit my (wide) feet all that well. Basically, it seems like every other piece of Italian footwear. Don't get me wrong - I'll happily wear them till they die, but probably wil look at other shoes after that.

Pros: Replaceable parts

Nice looking

Cons: Not good for my wide feet
Ergonomically lacking
Cheap insert

Gold standard of cycling shoes

These are absolutely the best cycling shoes available for the money. The mountain version is also very similar with tread and the option to use 2-bolt SPD cleats. Both are fabulous shoes. I think Sidi also has mesh and insulated waterproof versions for hotter or colder conditions.

Pros: Durable, easily adjustable, comfortable, breathable

Cons: Runs slightly small, road version does not accept SPD cleats anymore
