Saved me from getting another derailleur! This thing is great. A very limited market for them so I was happy to find it at Universal Cycles. Easily allows use of bottom-pull front derailleurs when the cable is top-mount. I set it once, and forgot about it. Nice and easy. Pros: Easy to use, works great Cons: Only silver Reviewed on: September 01, 2011 Reviewed by: Peter, Portland Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Also works for internal hub cables I used this for a different purpose: I have a SS frame without cable stops but I wanted to run a 3-speed hub. To accomplish this, I used this product at the base of my seatpost. This results in very clean routing with minimal friction. If you're in the same situation, give it a try! Pros: Versatile! Top pull problem solved This is the answer if you have a top-pull cable setup and are using a typical bottom pull (road) front derailluer. Well made, with a bronze bushing on the "axle". Pros: Easy solution, inexpensive, easy to install on the seat tube. Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 18, 2010 Reviewed by: a c., Portland, OR Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Thumbs up When you need it, you need it. Used to convert a top pull front changer set up to bottom pull. Build quality is better than photo. You will not be embarrased to have it on your bike. Pros: Allows you a greater selection of front changers. Cons: Makes you feel like gadget man.
