Crane Bell Company Flex Tite Bell

Good, versatile bell

I have had two of these bells, and they are generally very good. Crane makes bells that sound great, and the Cateye mounting system allows you to mount it in quite a few different places. The extra "tail" of the strap that sticks out will easily snap off, which is good for getting it out of your way, but means you won't be able to mount that bell onto anything else with a bigger diameter (that's why I have had two of these bells...).

Pros: Loud for its size
Nice sustain
Flexible mount

Cons: Extra mount strap tends to break off

Brass bells are nice because they retain their sound better than other metals when wet. For this Portland, OR cyclist, I love the sound of Crane brass bells. The mounting system this bell uses makes it very versatile.

Good Small Bell

Nice clear sound. Easy to mount. Will not mount on 31.8 bars, since the strap is on the small side.

Pros: Good, clear sound. Easy to mount.

Cons: Strap too short for wider diameter handlebars.
