This tool helps protect your bearings or bearing surface from being ruined when pressing the headset in. Use it with a Park Headset Press or Pedros Headset press to perfectly press in your headset cups.
- For use with headsets with both press-in and drop-in bearings
I used these to press in CC headset cups with the Park Tool headset press. They fit very well with that tool. They also fit very well, as you would expect, into the CC headset cups, and made the job extremely easy and quick. They are well designed since they fit both press in bearing type headsets, as well as cups with removeable bearings.
Pros: A very well designed tool.
Cons: None.

Yes No Report as InappropriateCane Creek H/set press adapters
This is a good product from Cane Creek! I should tell you if you're confused by the photo or the description.. you're not crazy OK. I bought the 1 1/8" size adapters and the pic doesn't resemble what I got in any way LOL, plus one tool does not fit both 1 1/8" and 1.5" size headset cups. These are nicely machined to offer protection to the cups if cartridge bearings are removed, or to the bearings if they're the pressed in type. All you do is flip over the adaptors. One side of them is nicely shaped with a bevelled outer edge to avoid damaging the inside of the cups, and the other side is machined with relief so that only their outer diameter presses the bearings in. They are clearly labelled to avoid any confusion. Cane Creek headsets are pretty common and this is a good item to have! Recommended
Pros: Safe for CC headsets (+ others). Accurate and effective. Inexpensive.
Cons: N.A.
