Easy to maintain. Looks pretty, but maybe not as pretty as the maintenance tools themselves. hhah. Smooth bb, turns like butter.

King BB

My first King BB and King product for that matter. Finally grew tired of bearings going to pot within a season with other BB's.

Pros: Smooth, rebuild/greaseable, colors and nicely machined, contructed product. 5-yr warranty!

Cons: Pricey. Have to buy expensive, overpriced tools to rebuild.

A serviceable Bottom Bracket for Hollowtech!

After going through a Shimano and/or SRAM external cup bottom brackets at least once or twice a season I finally bit the bullet on the King which is easily re-greasable. The sealing and quality seem to be top notch. Of course the price is quite a bit higher than a Shimano/SRAM. Especially if you count in the cost of the two King BB tools. I hate throwing away parts with planned obsolescence so the King is about my only option for external cups.
Frame fitment is perfect and it looks good too. I've not used it long enough to draw a full conclusion but if I have problems with the sealing on this I'll post a follow up review.
For now, 4 stars only because of the price. If it keeps spinning smoothly and the purged grease looks reasonable after severe use I'd happily give it 5. Just not enough miles to know for sure yet.

Pros: Re-greaseable, looks good, spins smooth, Made in USA, precise fit

Cons: COST, plus don't forget to add the cost of the BB grease injector and possibly the install tool. The anodization is easily marred during install if not careful.

Chris King. 'Nuff said

Outstanding bottom bracket. Get the grease tool, makes lubing very easy and gives you the satisfaction of being able to see the dirty grease being purged out. I use Rock N Roll Super Web and these work like a champ.

Pros: Bling, low friction, easy maintenance, quiet, Chris King quality.

Cons: Absolutely Nothing.

Quality product made in the USA.

This bottom bracket is the last one I will ever need to buy for my current bike. Went through the stock Shimano bottom bracket after one season, and could not rebuild it. I have over three seasons on the Chris King and have only had to do one simple cleaning and re-lube.

It also just looks great on the bike.

This bb gives you the security that comes with being able to change the grease when needed. It also adds that little splash of color to your ride.

Pros: Easy grease change

Cons: Expensive. 5 times as much as my others.

King is the king!

Super smooth bottom bracket, super easy installation and setup. Grease those threads! I had one stick on me from not enough grease and it was a bit of a pain to get off. Been using King stuff for years with no problems.

Pros: It's a King what more can you say.

I may be the only person in the world to be disappointed with a Chris King BB.
Instructions note that the chainline is adjustable, but enough shims are not included, and it bound up when I used one of the provided shims.
Maybe it's me... not sure. But I pulled it out in favor of a Sram GXP.

Pros: High quality.

Cons: Unclear directions regarding adjustable chainline.

Had this on my Motolite for 2 seasons now. They're smooth as butter. Recently bought the grease tool which is a fantastic innovation.

An incredibly nice BB. Kind quality stands out.

It really is beautiful. Should provide years of service and performance

I hope its as great as it's cost would lead you to beleive.

Pros: King quality, just the best there is

Cons: Hilariously and needlessly complicated instructions really make you question your abilities.

This much $$$ and NO BOX! Seriously?!!

Great company. Easy to maintain.

Pros: After 3000 miles my CK drive-side BB cup died. CK replaced it despite extreme Alaskan abuse. So I got another one and only use these now. I went through 2 SRAM GXP BB's in 900 miles on TransAM and 2 in 1100 miles on 29er. CK is King

I think anything Chris King makes is absolutly the best money can buy. Especially BB. with the self grease tool to perge out the old grease with fresh grease in awesome. easy process and your BB will last forever. Then the color options to give your bike that extra bling. Oh yea Chris King baby

This is a quality product as you would expect from CK. The seals are good, the bearings are smooth. I bought the grease injector tool which makes servicing the bearings a snap.

Pros: CK quality. This BB will last years.

Bought this because of the reputation and it was well worth it. Not a single issue and it was easy to install. It's also nice to have color options. Several thousand miles so far and all I've done is add grease a few times. The greasing tool is separate and a bit spendy but worth it also. It's also worth it to get the install tool to protect the nice finish.

I run this BB on all of my bikes. I think it's a good upgrade from a "stock" BB

This is a review for the Red SRAM version. The SRAM kit comes with all the necessary spacers, etc. Instructions are super easy to follow, just follow the steps for what type of crank you have. Get the separate grease injector tool and you have an easy way to maintain your BB. I found that it needed several pumps of grease right out of the box for each side. This thing is super smooth.

Looking for a smooth spins? You will love Chris King components. Refined items! Very easy to maintain, the will live in the wet for a long time after riding and riding. A bit expensive but you pay what you get with this brand.

Pros: CHRIS KING, amazing anodized colors, compatibility with shimano/sram cranksets.

Only bottom bracket for me

I love CK BBs - better even than their headsets and hubs! Easy to overhaul, not that you need it. Long threads for many spacer options. Good colors that last. Other BBs are a joke by comparison. If you plan on going through 2 XT-style bottom brackets, then this is worth it cost effective. It can be customized for less resistance or longer time between overhauls. The only thing better than this is the ceramic version.

Pros: Durable
Easy to overhual
Excellent color options
Deep thread penetration

Cons: Price, but not really.

Love this thing. Feels so darn smooth. The threads are extremely precise and finicky, and require a perfectly chased BB.

Instructions need improvement and setting up a SRAM stepped spindle can be tricky.

Pros: US made. Very high quality.

Cons: Finicky threads. Instructions for stepped spindle suck.

I was tired of getting a new BB every year, so I decided to get the best and I haven't and any regrets. After a full season it's performed flawless and shows no sign of replacement. Plus, with the 5 year warranty it'll be cheaper over the long haul.

Pros: Nice color options and configurable for differnt cranks.

Cons: The cups are easily scratched.
