Shimano Ultegra/XT CN-HG93

Worked very well, then I got another one.

OEM Shimano stuff just works. This chain lasted ~3000 miles before it needed replacing and shifting during its service life was flawless.

Pros: Works very well when used with other Shimano equipment.

Shimano 10 speed mountain chain has been great so far. I was concerned about going from 9 to 10 speed but this chain is beefy. I actually like the 10 speed parts better in terms of durability and shift quality.

Pros: Solid product from Shimano.

Cons: None so far. Just make sure the chain is installed with the lettering facing out.

Good value

A part that you set and forget is good and this one delivers, no breaks and shifts fine.

Pros: Good strength, good shifting and good value.

Cons: It would be nice if a removable link came with Shimano chains.

Great chain, great value

Works great, you won't notice the difference between XT and XTR!

Strong chain at a good price. After a season of hard use it still shifts reliably. The master link can be quite stiff to get apart for a good cleaning, but keeping it frequently lubed works just fine.

Shimano Chain is always a great workhorse

No problems with the chain after a full season of hard use in all conditions. Just keep it lubed.
