Great spokes

Great spokes, work well, can withstand a lot of tension, and are stiff when built right, which is excellent for such a light spoke. Use a bladed spoke holder when building.

Pros: strong, light, look great

Cons: Maybe it is just the batch I got, but order a couple extra for each length that you need. If not for a spare in case you have a broken spoke, get them in case you get any funky spoke elbows. I had a 2 spokes that didn't sit right in the hub flange because the angle wasn't right and it was unfixable. Thankfully I ordered some extras.

Sapim CX-Ray Spokes

Read great things about these spokes, and being a novice wheel builder, thought I'd try a bladed spoke for the ease of use (identifies twisting). I had no issues with the build, and the wheels are working great. Still true after many rides without any adjustments (credit to me and not the spokes likely) and none have broken. Only downside, and it's dumb, is that if you stuck your finger in the wheel while turning, you might not see that thing again. SHARP.

Pros: Easy assembly (bladed), high quality, no issues.

Cons: SHARP!

High quality ovalized spokes.

Pros: Light, aero, can hold with a slotted tool to eliminate wind-up when tensioning.

Cons: Expensive, very slightly heavier than DT Revolutions.

Strong lite and aero

I have built up wheel sets using DT 240 hubs, Sapim Cx ray spokes and various stans rims. The wheel sets weigh around 1450 -1550 grams.
Also built up similar wheels using DT revolution spokes. The revolutions where hard to true due to spoke wind up, flexed so much the wheels failed to hold true and wheels were not as light as those made with the CX rays. The CX rays hold there true and support the rim really well, i dont jump on these wheels but do hammer through rough and rocky terrain and never had an issue.

Pros: Strong, light, fast

Cons: Pricey but worth it

Outstanding Spoke

These spokes are a real double edged sword. Really they'll chop a finger off if you stick it in while rolling. That and they are probably just over priced. I am a wheel fetish guy so I just had to build up a wheel with them. The wheel tensioned up very quickly and the build was a joy. Keeping the spokes from twisting while building is a bit of a pain but the good news is not much fiddling with bringing up tension.

I put them on a rear 26 in mountain bike wheel and it is STIFF. I didn't run them on hte front because I wasn't only looking for a stiff rear wheel.

I am moving to a 29er now and I am having a hard time going CX Ray again. Very spendy but wicked light and stupid strong.

Pros: Light, strong, fun to build

Cons: costly

Sapim CX-Ray

Very Strong, Very Bling. Bladed spokes are easier to track for twist (wind up) when building. Very lightweight for the strength. Suitable for different bike types, amazing stuff. Don't be afraid to use Silver spokes on classy MTB wheels, they actually look better than blacked out wheels. Not for cheap bikes, these are not about the lowest price.

Pros: Supreme Strength to Weight Ratio. Proven product.

Cons: Pricey spoke variety.
