Topeak MTX Explorer Disc Compatible Rack

I bought this as rack to work with the MTX bag with panniers. Overall very happy with this system - see separate review for the bag.

Pros: Solid rack without being excessively heavy. Rear light mount is handy and works well.

this rack is the only way to go if need a rack with an mtx bag it slides on and off with the push of a button. as far as ading panniers i've used both topeak and axiom panniers on this rack with the mtx trunkbag DXP and have had no problem

The rack is great - lots of strenght and the tab on the back is handy for mounting of taillights. The Bag slips on easily, and is securely fastened. I'll rate the bag seperatly so look for that there. This rack/bag combo is intended to replace a LG bag/pannier combo I have. After a year of commuting the velcro just doesn't stay fastened so I started worring about the bag. Was going to use the LG panniers with this setup and a new topeak bag ( I didn't want thier bag with internal panniers) -- my LG panniers don't fit, and I havent found any that will, even taking my bike and bag to 3 shops and test fitting all they had. The base of the bag hits the pannier and wont slide on.

Pros: Quick easy on with the bags. I no longer worry about the bagfalling off.

Cons: havent found a set of panniers that will work with this rack. Tried lots of different brands. Can't recommed this until I find a set of panniers that fit.
