I've been using one of these for 2 years and it was finally stretching enough that I could justify a new one. I did keep the hooks from the old one as, sometimes, 4 hooks just isn't enough. Pros: Lasts a long time for no more expensive that it is.
Very versatile Cons: could use six hooks rather than four Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 06, 2012 Reviewed by: James Z., Michigan Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
For light to medium loads, these work very well and are probably more secure (as a net) than one or two bungees criss-crossing your goods. For heavier loads, use a couple thick rubber straps with solid metal hooks. I used one of these nets to secure about 40lbs of cargo to my porteur rack for a 12mi trip . . . and we made it okay, but a couple of knots came undone and I lost one of the hooks in the process. Again: works well for light and medium jobs . . . just not the best for really heavy stuff. Delta Cargo Net I'm just a starving student so I get everywhere by bicycle. If it weren't for these nets it would be nearly impossible to haul groceries, textbook, and packages. The stock product photo needs to be updated, there are four hooks not two and the hooks are red. Pros: Practical
Strong
Cons: Net occasionally becomes unraveled around hooks Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 06, 2011 Reviewed by: Sizzlin' C, Flagstaff Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
This net has 4 hook connections, not 2 like the picture. It is well made, one size fits all, but not bombproof in terms of what it can do. It is really just for adding last minute items to the top of your rack system or attaching odd shaped items. In that regard, it does well. Pros: Versatile Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 15, 2011 Reviewed by: Alan H., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
One of the most useful bicycle accessories! I own several of those. They come very handy. I have used these to strap cargo to various rear racks, to attach stuff to panniers or backpacks (while hiking). I have few of these mounted inside my DIY bike trailer, along the sides, for carrying small items. I even used the hooks alone with bongo ties to attach a solar panel to my pannier while touring!
They come with 4 hooks, not two: the picture is misleading. The hooks are made of plastic but they're very strong. The hooks come off so you can reconfigure the nets. On at least one occasion I wanted 6 hooks one net. I also combined two nets by hooking them up together or using zip ties for more permanent "coupling".
They're very strong and nicely stretchable. I never ride anywhere without a couple of these stashed in my pannier. Pros: Extremely useful, strong, stretchy, removable hooks. Cons: None I can think of. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 05, 2011 Reviewed by: Adam D., New York Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Works well for holding stuff to the top of my racks. Stretch web is handy for odd shaped packages. A must if you're running racks on your bike.
