Truvativ Rock Guard Bolt Kit Great to have when needing longer bolts for thicker bash/ring combo Pros: Affordable, nice annodizing, good length for thicker bash/rings Cons: Will snap bolt head easily when tightened and loosened over time for replacing new rings/etc. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: January 05, 2013 Reviewed by: jon g., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Bolts that last If the bash guard lasted as long as the bolts did, I'd be set! No issues whatsoever with the bolts themselves, the bash guard, however, seems to be hit and miss as far as longevity is concerned. Pros: Non corrosive, long lasting. Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Shane W., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
These are required if you use the Truvativ Rock guard, just make sure you use a torque wrnech I found out the hard way that you need to follow the torque specs.

Needed a longer chainring bolt/but set, these fit the bill perfectly Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 18, 2011 Reviewed by: brandon, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Far easier to use than slotted nut style - only needs 5mm & 6mm allen wrenches to install. No need for the special chainring nut tool which always slips &#@$%! Depending on the thickness of your chainguard, if they are too long, you can grind them down easily. Pros: Easy to install.
No special tool needed. Cons: None. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 21, 2010 Reviewed by: Rick, OC, California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Use these with thick/plastic bashguards. Pros: Tightens with allen wrench instead of awkward chainring bolt wrench. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 09, 2010 Reviewed by: Jeffrey, Maryland Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
