Padding is nice but the top portion near the thumb joint can be constricting and painful. If worn a little loose, it will fit more comfortably.

Inexpensive old school glove

Aside from the "Kevlar" (quotes because I really doubt these have kevlar in them) these are the old school crochet warm weather gloves you're looking for.

Pros: Cheap ... er, inexpensive. Yea, that's a little more accurate. They're pretty sturdy, I've been wearing them daily for commuting for a couple of months now and they're holding up fine. Great for riding or hanging out at DP and hoisting a few PBR's.

Cons: A little on the tighty side initially.
