I didn't think I'd be liking these but I do!
When I put the first tire on I was surprised how easy it went on the rim, almost no need for a lever... then I filled the tire w/ air and the tire bead pooched out at 40 psi. Called the shop, no real suggestions.. size was correct and all.
Was making arrangements to return and decided to try the other tire on the front (really wanted to go for a ride and the tire had a cut in the sidewall that was making me nervous). Went on easily but the bead set, filled w/ 45 psi air, no problem.
Went to put the other one on... after some wrangling around got the bead to set and when I was filling to 45 at around 40 the bead opened and the tube blew. After thinking about it, the tube did have a pooch in the area that blew. Got a new tube out, reinstalled, 45 psi, great. Guess I learned something about poochy tubes, just use symmetrical ones.
Went out for 12 miles in the rocks, no issues, real sticky with nice controllability. Don't really see any mud here in So. Nevada, so I'm thinking these will be good to go down here.
Pros: Nice price, sticky, good ride. If I get a flat they will be a quick change as you can do it almost without tools.
Cons: Hoping I don't blow the bead too often. Hassle factor with the loose fit.

These are great all purpose tires for your 29er. Excellent traction, they wear a long time, ad they're not too heavy.
Pros: Excellent tread pattern; great traction in loose conditions; good volume - almost a 2.2; long wearing; pretty good rolling too.
Cons: Mine came in about 10g over the 715g claimed weight, which is already a little on the heavy side.
