Housing/Cable Jagwire always seems to be avail at all the stores I go to Pros: Everything you need in one kit. Okay price. very nice first jagwire derailleur cables user. Long time Shimano/ Yokozuna user. Got it for a friend's commuter bike and you can't beat the price for what you're getting. Came together nicely, shifts great and no BS. Pros: plenty of colors to choose from. Well made. Everything you'll need to redo your cables. Cons: maybe a few more end caps would be nice but it's not a big deal. Excellent cables These are great cables that shift smooth and look great. They may not look as nice as the ripcords but they are definitely up to par in quality. Pros: Excellent performance Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 23, 2013 Reviewed by: Nicholas C., Florida Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Too short Good cable other than being too short to run full housing on a Pugsley with drop bars. I had to use a coupler and another short piece to get to the front derailleur cable stop. Might have been ok if I didn't run the housing under the bar tape. Pros: Jagwire quality Cons: Too short for a Pugsley. Bought this to replace a frayed shifter cable on my MTB, don't think you can go wrong with this set. Included everything I needed, and performs much better than what I was replacing. Pros: Price

Not enough housing for my XL frame. Came with enough to do my rear derailleur but didn't have enough leftover to do my front. This happened because the frame I'm using I needed to run housing from the shifter to the derailleur, most frames have a couple breaks in the housing. Pros: Good price and comes with all the necessary hardware. Cons: Not enough housing for my application. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 05, 2012 Reviewed by: David H. Great all in one set!!! The wires do have a coating on them so they hold up really well. I've been using these on my bikes for 7 years no with no issues.
The only complaint that I have is the brake furrels. They use some weird tapered design that just does not sit well in any of my frames or calipers. So I recommend buying a small bag of brake furrells. Pros: great complete set at an incredible price Cons: brake furrells are weird Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 27, 2012 Reviewed by: Stewart C., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Everything you need to cable a bike in one pack. Pros: Great quality cable. Good looks. Cons: None. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 05, 2012 Reviewed by: Matt K., Pennsylvania Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
These cable kits are convenient, as they come with plenty of housing, as well as housing end-caps and cable ferrules. The Hyper kits are Jagwire's "hybrid" kit as the cables have nubbins on each end of the cable that will work with either road or mountain bike levers. The road-specific kits (Racer) have a section of different cable housing that's intended to fit better under handlebar tape (I think it's thinner and more flexible). Good, reasonable price cable Set includes all you need to replace front and rear derailleur cables, and has decent instructions. Are the more expensive cables really worth it? I sure can't tell the difference. Pros: Cost, aesthetics. I bought the white braided. Looks very classy without being too flashy. Cons: None.
