have these axles on a commuter and its kind of nice knowing that my wheels are a little more secure than quick releases. I wont leave my bike sit around all day with out locking up wheels but a quick in and out of a store they work great. Pros: wheels are a little more secure. Cons: none so far. Let's face it. How many people need to replace a tire in such a hurry that they need quick releases? These I find give a little more piece of mind to having decent wheels, and any multi-tool will have the appropriate allen wrench for the job. Great for commuting and around town, I've had no issues. And they are inexpensive too! Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 26, 2012 Reviewed by: Yousif M., New Hampshire Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Extra Added Security I got these for my touring/commuting bike. They provide a little extra security for the wheels and make it just a little harder to steal. They also look nicer then normal quick release skewers. Changing a tire requires you to have a multi tool with you, but that is SOP for me. Pros: Makes it harder to steal you wheels. Look nicer then QR's Cons: Need to carry allen wrench with you to change tire. Reviewed on: April 19, 2012 Reviewed by: Brian K., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Excellent skewers. Quick release wheels on a city bike is asking for wheelsets to come up missing. These skewers replace the quick release skewers and make it a little more time consuming for a thief if they want your wheels.
There may be some extra threading exposed when they are installed, just hack it off for a cleaner look.
I'll install these on any commuter that has quick release in the future. Pros: High quality, any corrosive, easy and quick to install. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 07, 2012 Reviewed by: Drew, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I bought these to theft proof my commuter, as it is commonly known that thieves won't buy metric hex keys.
They worked fine. One day I get a flat, bolt the wheel back on and strip the end of the skewer. I didn't do it with much force, so I was surprised. If you buy them, be wary on the force you torque with. Pros: Worked well, felt marginally safer about having nice hubs on a commuter. Cons: Stripped them a little too easily. Prevent "Crimes of Opportunity" It is hard to completely prevent bicycle theft. But you definitely can give those crooks a harder time, and potentially ward off a quick wheel theft, by having non-quick-release skewers such as these. These Delta skewers function just as well as any quick-releases I have used. I usually carry a 5mm wrench with me when I ride, so messing with my wheels or tires doesn't get too complicated from having these skewers. Definitely worth it, as they do prevent those "crimes of opportunity" that happen when some would-be-thief sees a wheel something that could be removed in a fraction of a second. These skewers would make them work. Pros: Makes thieves think twice (or at least makes them work harder), not too much of a burden to tighten and loosen Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 18, 2011 Reviewed by: Scott W., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Light, cheap. Will make it slightly harder for someone to steal your wheels. They are a LITTLE short - I wish they were another few mm longer. Pros: Cheap, light. Cons: A little shorter than I'd prefer. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 24, 2011 Reviewed by: David M., Maryland Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I wanted something to make it a tad more difficult for anyone who wanted to steal my wheelset, but didn't want to cough up the big bux for Pitlock skewers. These fit the bill perfectly, are easy to tighten and are very nicely finished. Pros: Price.

Great skewer! Easy to replace QR's for something a little more secure.
I wish they came in singles front OR rear. Pros: >Can really crank them down without the nut or skewer stripping Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 01, 2010 Reviewed by: danfinger, SFCA Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
