I put this on my wife's mountain bike 4 years ago, and with little care for, it has worked perfectly.
Can be bent occasionally to hold the bottle a little snugger, but even without paying much attention, she has never lost a bottle on the trail. Stainless steel has kept it looking brand new the entire time. Pros: Works well, holds the bottle snugly. Welds seem to hold up very well. Best cages I've ever used These are the best bottle cages I've ever used. They hold my bottles much more securely than any of the aluminum cages I've tried, and they can be cold set for an even tighter fit. Pros: Reliable, secure, springy Cons: Heavier than a carbon or Ti cage Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 22, 2013 Reviewed by: Michael K., California Was this review Helpful? These are high quality cages and I like them alot, although they came with a huge paper SKU sticker stuck right to the frame, without any plastic bag or anything.
Not sure if that's Universal Cycle's doing, but it took me a lot of time and effort to clean them up (I bought three), and that doesn't undermine the product's usefulness, but aesthetically it was terrible way to sell a new product. Cons: no packaging, came with stock paper sticker plastered all over it and it was really difficult to remove. Cage This is a classic looking cage and it will not lose its shape or rust. Pros: Strong and fairly light. Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 06, 2013 Reviewed by: bud m., katy, tx Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Simple, strong, secures bottle and lightweight. Great design Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 16, 2012 Reviewed by: David B., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Nice simple classic design. I first thought that it held bottles too tightly...I guess that is a plus though rather than a con. On the bike it isn't a problem. Bottles went in a came out without issue. Pros: No rust Cons: Came with all kinds of paper labels that didn't pull off cleanly. Required some goo b gone. But no problem getting it off. Your classic alloy bottlecage. Tough, resilient, well-constructed.
I bought a few pairs of these and I expect I won't need to buy cages anytime soon. These have a longer lifespan with me than most bikes.
Pros: Classic, durable, no bs design. USA made.
Fire and forget Cons: Will never be in vogue Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 13, 2012 Reviewed by: Will H., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Deserving of its classic status This is what you need in a bottle cage. It holds your bottle well, is light and is an elegant, simple design. It looks just right on a quality steel frame. Pros: Holds your bottle firmly
Can be bent in or out slightly if you want a tighter/looser fit

King cages are great. Stainless construction makes them greater. No more marked water bottles with these babies. You won't lose a bottle in rough trails with them. My favorite cages. I love these cages. They look great, hold bottles very well, and are made in the USA. What else can you ask for?

The best! Hold bottles securely, light, another pair on my other bike has lasted 10+ years & I see no reason why these new ones won't. Maybe the ti version is better but that's not worth the cost to me. Pros: Secure

Steel is where it's at! Have lots 'o these guys laying around cause if you bend one, you can just bend it back. Don't know why I keep buying them since they last forever. Pros: Nice finish

It's not a fancy cage made out of space-age materials, and it would probably look out of place on a swoopy carbon frame, but King cages are 1) the classic cage shape, 2) made by hand in Durango, 3) stainless, 4) reasonably light, 5) durable (if you bend one in a crash, just bend it back to shape), and 6) tenacious in their grip on a bottle. Also, people seem to like them because they don't mark up bottles like aluminum cages. Bottom line? It's a bottle cage worth being a bit excited about. Awesome! It's simple, LIGHT, and looks great. I have some old Novara ones on my bike now, and these just look so classic and great. I was very suprised how LIGHT these were! I'm planning on getting Andrews for all my bikes now. Pros: Light, strong. Cons: maybe a little pricey, but worth it. No better stainless cage. Pros: Beats the hell out of aluminum as well as stainless copy cat cages with smaller tubing. Almost as good as a Ti one but much more economical. Cons: It's not the titanium version, which are the best metal cage. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 04, 2011 Reviewed by: Ben B., Texas Was this review Helpful?
