Keep it clean. I ride in the dust and would rather keep the small particles away from the shock. Once installed, just forget it. Doesn't change performance. Pros: Keeps the dirt out. Cons: A bit hard to get it installed tight. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 28, 2012 Reviewed by: Jeffrey H., Georgia Was this review Helpful? I bought this to use on my Reverb adjustable post.
Keep the mud and dust away from it. Making things stay smooth and clean. Pros: Inexpensive and well made. Cons: More colors Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 11, 2012 Reviewed by: Big John, Hong Kong Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Good protection at a cheap price I've been using Lizard Skins products for years. They offer affordable protectection for your bike.
The frame shock boot fit fine, but I ended up cutting about 1/4" off of one end for a more custom fit.
It keeps dirt and mud from sticking to your shock. I recommend taking it off after each ride and hand washing it with soap and water. It is possible for some dirt to get through and you don't want any dirt to be trapped inside.
The Velcro makes it easy to take off and put on. Pros: Cheap, easy to install, extra layer of protection for your shock Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 27, 2011 Reviewed by: Dwayne C., Texas Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Good Protection Definitely worthwhile for protecting your expensive shock. I put these on all of my full suspension bikes - a fairly cheap way to keep expensive shocks looking and working like new.
