I'm an electronics nut and thought I could make a brighter flasher than this. Nope! They designed this really well. Pros: Bright (very!), good side visibility, light weight Cons: A little expensive, but worth it i think Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 21, 2012 Reviewed by: Dave G. Fantastic Tail-light I use this light along with a Blinky 3 and the super flash really lights it up. Looking back about 100 yards the other night I could see the superflash reflecting on a stop sign as if I were only 10 feet away. Pros: Very bright and eye catching flash. Comes with batteries and two different clamps for mounting. Cons: The on/off button is on the bottom of the unit making it a little difficult to turn it on compared to the blinky 3 which has a small button on the back of the unit. Very bright and simple and can take the Oregon weather. I have them on my bike, my wife's bike, my daughter's bike and all my grand children's bikes. Bright enough to be seen during the day. Best Rear Light I've had two of these. The light sequence is really eye catching, it can been seen from the sides. The light has great battery life and is waterproof.
The first one I had met its demise after I had a couple too many drinks at a bar and I wanted to show how waterproof it was by submerging it in a glass of beer for the remainder of the night. It wasn't the same after. Pros: The clip on the back is really fantastic- I ride several bikes and not all of them have the mount- I can slide it on my backpacks or a pants pocket and it doesn't come off. Cons: Absolutely none. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 22, 2012 Reviewed by: Paul S., PDX Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Love it! I can't see any reason to use any other rear blinky. I've got multiple Superflashs that I've used for commuting and radonneuring with no problems. Pros: Bright. Durable. Bright. Cons: None. Awesome Taillight While the Planet Bike Super Flash may not have the brightest bulb it is still a great taillight. The strobe pattern is eye catching the solid LED can cause temporary blindness. Pros: Bright, Eye Catching Strobe Cons: No Reflector Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 01, 2011 Reviewed by: AJK, California Was this review Helpful? Super bright This is the best rear light I have had - and the smallest. On a recent early morning ride that started in the dark the rider behind me asked me to turn off the light because it was so distracting and bright. Pros: Bright
Long battery life
Small Cons: A not-so-seizure inducing second flashing mode would be nice. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 18, 2011 Reviewed by: Mark, SoCal Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Batteries in this thing last and last, because the blinking mode rarely keeps the big, 1/2 watt bulb on. FYI, in foggy or rainy conditions, you will be more visible with it on "constant." Super bright There's a reason why so many people have this light. It's super bright, easy to use, and lasts forever. I can't count the times I've come home lately, taken off my bag with this clipped to it with turned on in the blinky mode and gone to sleep. You'd think the batteries would be dead after a night or two of doing this but no, this light still turns on. Pros: Lasts forever, really bright Cons: You only get one set of mounting hardware. The only bad thing about the Superflash is that when you're hanging out with your bike friends, you never know whose light is whose. Because everyone in Portland has a Superflash. It's bright, simple, and doesn't eat tons of battery. Nuff said. Pros: bright, simple Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 25, 2010 Reviewed by: Dan!, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
