Garmin Mounting Brackets & QR Kits

Didn't really need it

I didn't realize my Edge 500 came with 2 mounts. So, when I purchased this mount kit I ended up with 2 extra mounts. Perhaps over time I will appreciate the boatload of bands and extra mounts.

Pros: Lots of bands with a couple different sizes

Cons: none

Edge Mounting Bracket

I needed a replacement mount for my Garmin Edge that broke after about 3 years worth of use. It appears to be the same exact mount the unit came with when new. I wish these wouldn't wear out and break after time and that they weren't so expensive.

Cons: Expensive

I was very happy to be able to purchase this (garmin edge mounting bracket) when the mounting hardware for my garmin 205 broke. I was less happy when this replacement broke, but then I remembered that even being able to get spare parts for consumer electronics is a victory.

Pros: When your mounting bracket breaks, you really need this!

Cons: It's awfully expensive.

310XT QR Kit (updated)

The updated version of the 310xt kit is a must have for anyone who uses it for running and riding. The kit allows you to transfer your 310xt watch from your wrist to the new quarter turn bike mount quickly.

Pros: The new bike and wrist mounts are more secure than the old ones


Cons: watch sits higher off your wrist with the quick release

the quarter turn bike mount can be hard to use in a transition if you haven't practised
