Exactly what I needed. Very simple - not too much to put here. The noodle on my hybrid bike started to come apart at the end so it wasn't holding the brake in position any longer. I swapped this one on and it works like a charm. Quick and cheap fix.

Pros: -Easy to install
-Works as advertised

Cons: -None

These noodles look nice, they do their job, and they're cheap. If you've got old, rusty noodles, these are a good option to improve your bike's look.

Pros: Looks nice
Stops well
Cheap

I have used these as replacements for noodles I was not happy with on used bikes I purchased. I like having the option for either 90 or 135 degree routing. They have worked very smoothly for my applications.

Pros: 90 and 135 degree option
Value priced

Cons: Wish they came with a boot so I wouldn't have to go looking for a separate part to purchase. This could be a pro though if you like a specific boot or don't use them.

I've not used these as actual brake noodles, but I do use them when I need to route cables around sharp corners and don't want large loops waving about trying to get caught on obstacles.

They are not quite as fancy as rollamajigs are, but they're bucketloads cheaper and seem to do the job just as well.

Use for your rear derailleur

I have not had issues with using various manufacturers' noodles, but these are good and trustworthy.

Tip: I use the 135 degree noodles going into my rear derailleur. If you have a Sram or Shimano Shadow derailleur, you can run the housing straight to the derailleur, but if not, you need a big loop around of the housing to work. These reduce the diameter of the loop, cut down on the amount of housing needed, and give a cleaner, trick appearance.

Shimano Brake Noodles

I accumulated a whole pile of different new brake noodles, but still used to have trouble selecting a couple of good ones from it that actually worked well LOL. Some had 5mm ends, some 6mm. Some were stupid shaped, not matching, kinked, had ends falling off, different finishes, liners sliding out, they had boot troubles, needed special silly boots (Avid) or something else stupid. Now I've abandoned that pile and simply invested in a few standard Shimano ones instead. Hallelujah for that! I must admit I'm not a real Shimano person usually, but with some items they're still the best choice. The Shimano noodles for starters have sensible bends.. the 90 degree is compact for neater rear brakes, and the 135 degree has a bit larger diametre sweep to help reduce friction. In Australia (right hand front brake) a 135 degree noodle is usually needed at the front. The Shimano's accept standard 5mm brake line, no ferrules needed. They also accept the standard Shimano boots which fit properly and are better than most. The liners seem to last OK also. Noodles seem like such an unimportant component at first look, but I can tell you from experience you're better off just saving the time and problems, and get the Shimano's first up. They're not expensive (although the boots are a bit dear IMO).

Pros: Hassle free and effective.

Cons: Matching boots a bit pricey.

I used the 90 degree one for the front and the 135 degree one for the rear. Both come with a slick inner liner (teflon?) and are also pre-greased, making them friction free. These do not come with a boot like the Avid one but I don't use that anyway.

Pros: Comes with inner liner.
Pre-greased.

Cons: No boot.
